The mover just called to say the vendor demolished the house that I signed the contract for last month without telling them, go back to square 1, do not pass go, month and a half of effort wasted.

This market apparently moves fast enough that my second choice house is gone too. And not fast enough that there’s a decent selection of interesting new stock. Go figure.
